A modest remodel transforms this quirky cape-cod-styled home into a clean and modern living space. The remodel focuses on opening up spaces and simplifying flows. Connections between programs are formalized by built-in cabinets and large openings. These connections create an open set of spaces that feel luxurious and free.

The material choices add to that feel of luxurious space, comprising of lively wood surfaces, simple upholstery, and deeply engaging stone tops. The color palette is refined and simple, providing a backdrop for the client's extensive art collection. Lighting highlights the art further and brings the home to life while specifically controlling the feel of each space.
